A Ruler or a Manager

The Vision. The Strategy. The Results #13

First of all, it’s important to see an essential difference between a ruler and a manager. In Christian education institutions the majority of nowadays books and study courses introduce secular view on management and leadership, considering a goal-setting skill the most distinctive characteristic of a leader. So, the emphases is shifted from the REVELATION (which is God’s guidance) to faith as the most powerful human potential. It means, there is no way for the will of God to be expressed, neither any personal guidance of the Holy Spirit, nor any obedience to God — the essential aspects of the spiritual management in the church of Jesus Christ where God Himself is the Ruler, setting up our purposes while we are just His managers. «So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do» (Lk. 17:9-10).
