Caution — Destructive Prayer!

Lord! Teach Us to Pray #2

The carnal mind is not focused on pleasing God, but rather on using the power of God for «their own lusts». Everything that happens that is contrary to the interests of the carnal man is disdainful to him. He is not inclined to take into account, be interested in, and obey God’s will. With that, any form of disdain, even against other people or in response to circumstances, is in essence murmurings against God. Such words or prayers (disdain, indignation, complaints) are not just almost ineffective, but can have serious consequences on a person.

“Because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.» (Romans 8: 7-8)
